Join us for a casual new media pow-wow when two of
Australia's most exciting new media artists, Melinda Rackham
and Megan Heyward show their CD-Rom and VRML works.
Melinda and Megan, both in Japan for ISEA Nagoya, are
participants in the Australia-Japan New Media Gallery
Melinda Rackham is an artist and writer based in Sydney Australia, who has been working online since the mid 1990's in her domain www.subtle.net constructing imaginal and hypertextual sites. Melinda's web practice draws on divergent sources and she was the winner of the 2001 SoundSpaceAward for Virtual Worlds for her work Empyrean Site.
With video, sound, text and interactivity, Megan Heyward writes in new media. Her practice explores the intersections between memory, dream and non linear narrative. Megan's previous work "I Am A Singer" (1997), has been widely exhibited internationally and is the winner of several Australian and international new media awards.
